Covering mounds can be one of the most challenging aspects of turf installation, it’s a bit like trying to wrap a piece of paper over a ball. Wrinkles can form easily without precise cutting, shaping, and stretching.
This project called for specialist installation and precision craftsmanship, using our certified school turf Villa 35mm turf. Designed for versatility and durability, Villa was the perfect choice to contour smoothly over the school’s play mounds, creating a soft, natural looking surface that’s safe, functional, and fun for children.
A compliant Shockpad underlay was installed beneath the turf to achieve certified PlaySafe NZ5828 fall height ratings, ensuring the area meets all safety requirements for school play zones.
The result is a vibrant, durable, and safe outdoor play space transforming a tricky terrain into an inviting area where imagination can run free.
